Nice score. Are you tempted to push past 15k at all? It's so close. How do those puppies go at gaming?

My single doesn't drop under 60fps @ 1080p bf3, max candy. I'm interested to know if performance is increased or wasted with 2 of these.

It'd be a lot of heat tho I bet

Hey guys, just got two MSI 680's a few days ago - selling off my three 580's.

I'm dropping 350 watts of peak power consumption, and since I'm not running a hot sandwich any longer, my cards are running cooler and quieter (680's in PCI slots 1 & 3).

I did a quick run this morning:

    Rampage 3 Extreme x58, MSI GTX 680 SLI (default clocks), 980x @ 4.5 HT off, 12GB Dominator GT @ 2010MHz (9-10-9-27),

    http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3078822

3d Mark11 score of 15078P, which is higher than I used to get with my 3 x 580's at stock.

Wonder why 200MHz on the CPU only made 42 extra points? :(

your 580 will go a lot higher mate. Also i found restarting after a run fixes overclocks on the GPU and get a better result. Get it to 950Mhz

What's the highest safe voltage to use?

I'm a big pussy and didn't go higher than 0.050v over stock. :p

    Edit: Post 4300!

IDN i bump my GTX580 Matrix to 1.213 volts and then pressed the up volt button directly on the PCB about 6 times until i could run her at 1015Mhz :)

I think around 1.2 you would get 970/980Mhz

But im guessing your using a reference 580 so i am un sure.

quad mem makes a nice difference on a X79 board, did a run with 2 x 4gb Ripjaw CL9's 2133mhz, then 4 x 4gb of the same sticks in quad array and picked up 800 points :)
