    Looks good!!!!!
I wonder how much it'll cost.
As much as I love rangefinder focussing, I've tried focussing using the EP5 with EVF and it's so clear that it's easy to focus, and I could go that way!

From all the rumors this will be around $2000 US or just above. Probably street price comparable to a Canon 6D or Nikon D600 Me thinks.

Looks nice. Seems to make the RX1 a little redundant though.

    A7R with no AA/PDAF and 36MP or A7 with PDAF and 24MP

Seriously considering selling 5d Mark II now. If the reviews are good.

    Hmmm......

I'm going to complain about the lack of a 40 or 50mm lens, then eventually look through the EVF and decide I don't like it.

come on canon, i want this

    with this

This makes me think things are continuing to move in the right direction though.

I'm excited about these cameras. They come in much lighter than your usual dslr, and the lenses will invariably be somewhat lighter too.

Although in sports and action photography this won't matter, for those of us who hike to random places for photo moments, the less weight we have, the more we can carry other things that will extend the range to which we can hike to.

I think there'll be 2 versions, the cheaper one around USD$2k
Personally I'm not touching it until it's clear that it plays well with M lenses, I have about zero appetite for zeiss autofocus or sony lenses
but with a couple of M pancakes it will be an awesome little package :)

    36mp

The problem with all of these adapted lenses are that once you add the adaptor, even a pancake becomes bulky. My Zeiss 50 1.8 looks dinky on my 5D2, but looks huge on my G1X once the adaptor is added.

I hope this puts a stick up the ass of Canon to do a full frame M.

true, but your zeiss is an SLR lens (bigger lens + much bigger adapter), I was thinking of RF lenses which usually have a 1cm adapter to mirrorless
It'd be really hard to make sth like this look huge even with the 1cm adapter:

the question with these M pancakes is if the sensor will play well with the real element so close to it. M wide panckakes are usually pretty sh!t on fuji X, and thats only APS-C

Could be tempting, will see how their lens line up goes over the next 6-8 months...

One of these and a couple of pancake lenses would be a perfect - even pocketable. I'd prob replace my D800 with it if they don't suck.

It will be interesting to see if the rumour about buyers being offered a free Leica M Mount, Nikon or Canon adapter are true.

Just to followup on Chillout's point here's some comparison shots between an A7 + Zeiss ZM 50 f2 and a Leica M + Zeiss ZM 50 f2. Nice small package. This is what I've been waiting for and why I didn't spend any serious cash on Sony APS-C lenses. All my money is in M mount rangefinder lenses.

It's apparently the same as the one in the E-M1. Are they available yet?
