    Guys,

I can boot into windows at 4.7Ghz at 1.275 volts but any bench or game will Blue screen which is fair enough. You'd think from there an additional .03 volts (1.30 volts) should have it stable some what under prime but, nope. It blue screens after 20 seconds.

At 1.33volts, its the same thing.

This is with uncore at 42. Even at uncore set as 39 or AUTO.

Surely this CPU can achieve 4.7Ghz with less cpu core voltage by fine tuning some other settings?

These settings I'm not too familiar with and would like to attempt a stable 4.7 Ghz.

Anyone know what else I can try? Perhaps bump uncore up to 200 - 300mhz of 47 core? I read keeping it with roughly 300 mhz difference can actually provide stability even though the uncore has been raised instead of lowered.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the link.

Kind of surprised with an additional .06 volts, the exact time to BSOD is observed between 1.275 and 1.33 volts.

At 1.33 volts gaming is fine but then again it's not a cpu stress test.

Also, I'm stable at 4.6 Ghz

4.4-4.6 seems to be the peak for most 4770ks .. Mine hits 4.5 (just)

My volts start climbing in a big way after 47 @ 1.28v. IT will happily run 4.5 @ 1.190v so that is where it stays.

Wont stick 51 @ 1.65v so that is where i draw the line in benches. I paid the $20 or ao for oc insurance so really couldn't give a shit if it dies...... come to think of it i wonder where its limit is.:leet:

    standard < overclock < wall < BSOD

wall is movable on the scale, depending on the chip. Your wall is @ 4.7
