Help, having issues with a X38-DQ6 and running two 4870 1gb cards. The card in the first slot will not appear in device manager. This slot works fine when it has the only card just not when there are two  have it this way to run three screens.

Any advice be good thanks in advance :D

Probably knock out the obvious ones first:

    - Have both cards been connected with a Crossfire cable?
    - Are both cards receiving sufficient power, PCI-e cables plugged in?
    - Have you tested each cards individually on the first slot?

There cards are not eyefinity capable, you cannot run crossfire to run triple screens,

Op, what drivers are you using atm?

-Actually have 3 cards here and all work in first slot by themselves
-Understand not eyefinity thus no crossfire bridge connected :)
-running Catalyst 11.5 Driver Version: 8.850.0.0
    -PSU is Seasonic M12 700w
    - Running Win 7 64 bit

Nope don't believe that is the case if I want to run three having it in crossfire will make it that only two screens work :)

Do you have the molex power connected near the PCIE slots?
It gives extra power to the PCIE when two cards are used.

:wired: comes back humbly apologising to JoolzD, was looking for a empty power socket stoopid me. Found the molex which I had allready connected a plug into BUT must have come lose as was barely in there.

Reconnected properly chucked on one X-fire bridge and what do you know it all works :D

So again I apologise JoolzD and thank you for your help
