you HAVE to use a headphone amp with the av710 rear out. that is a LINE out and not amplified in anyway.

You can change the jumper on JP3 to change between using Speaker-Out and Line-Out. That will disable/enable the internal amp

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the 7/8ch outputs. Was quite funny how people on another forum were commenting on how the sound changed when they swapped the jumpers when it was later pointed out that it was really doing nothing at all

Really? Because theres definitely a volume difference for me. Anyhoo some Panasonic FM's arrived - once exams are over I'll get a new pencil soldering iron and some thin solder to try them on the card

    Thread resurrection!

Anyone know where I can get another one of these cards? Only one I've found was second hand on eBay and in America :( I'd like a second one so I don't have to take this one out of my system to modify it.

I have my own modded one that I may be selling soon since I've purchased an external DAC

    Two questions:

    1. What was the original brand of caps in there?
    2. Why use Samxon replacements? I would go with Sanyo OSCON, Sanyo SEPC/SEQP or Chemicon NP-CAP series. Low impedance and very high ripple current.

Blackgates would be nice, if you can find the right values in the dwindling reserve stocks...

They make nice improvements to my car audio gear. :)
