My mate's R35 he bought a couple weeks ago. I know the sign sticks up, but I wanted the perspective in the background without a break in the photo, and hopefully I blurred the sign out enough that it's not that noticeable (can always be chopped out with 5min work). All photos taken with a D3x + 105mm F2 DC. 1. 2. 3. And just before the R35 shoot, another friend took me for a spin in his R34 GTR. There was way too many reflections on the car, but I was just screwing around, as I was really there for an engagement shoot and he was meeting up with me. 4. 5.
the effort for the gtr is great. I suggest u remove the yellow pole. it's really distracting. how do you know whether the photos are good ? when someone wants to buy the car based on yr photos. like me..
ok so i kept looking at it and the more i looked at it, the more the orange post annoyed me. here's the edit...
now how to fix that butt ugly license plate? god i don't envy the guys that shoot cars as part of their living.. reflections everywhere....
The last 2 are awesome, it makes the car look like a tiny toy car. Is that due to the Defocus Control? (Not exactly sure of what it even does exactly)
the easiest way is to just remove it before the shoot. but this is just mucking around with a friend, so there's no need for that.
nah it's not the DC, just a shallow DOF... the DC function renders either the foreground or background more out of focus when using smaller apertures (day time shooting), but it's at the slight expense of giving the image a soft portrait look, which isn't really good for this sort of thing.
I quite like the postless version of the first one; but I reckon it'd go better with a touch more DoF. However it might sharpen up the wall too much and be distracting. Nice as per usual.
Love the first shot, just so crisp. The R35 is just hot, the front is very aggressive looking and has much nicer sweeping curves than the R34
I don't know if it's just the angle from which you shot or if the lines of the car have something to do with it, but the number plate on the R35 looks like its been mounted on a bit crooked and probably could do with a bit of counter-clockwise rotation?
I agree, the R34 for some reason looks like a miniature sized toy car. Great shots, but my criticism would be you have too many friend's with hot GTR's
