    Hi Guys,

Below is a link to petition the Liberal Party of Australia (the new Government) to reconsider their plan to change the NBN as Fibre To The Node (FTTN) instead of putting in the full Fibre To The Home (FTTH) as was the original plan.

If you fell that you would like to have FTTH, please sign the petition.

    https://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/the-liberal-party-of-australia-reconsider-your-plan-for-a-fttn-nbn-in-favour-of-a-superior-ftth-nbn?share_id=QDCZhRTWCy&utm_campaign=friend_inviter_chat&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition&utm_term=permissions_dialog_false

By the way, this is in no way a political statment. I just want the best NBN that we can have.

Signed it this mornin before you even had it on here

Heard on ABC local radio this morning a guy talking about how his cap on the copper line is still marked as Postmaster General (Pre 1975 before telstra came into being and took control of the phone lines)

aaaahhhhh its only 40 year old copper it'll do fine

meanwhile my dad outta town is waiting and hoping no NIMBYs kill his wireless tower that is planned to go in shortly, seeing how his ADSL really is an overpriced dialup line

I really wish this would work, because I'd like to be saved from this black spot I'm in. :(

my suburb is full of PMG pits (the precursor to telecom), along with quite a lot of telecom pits (the precursor to telstra) and the occasional sprinkling of telstra pits.

The partition is a waste of time on its own, but the media coverage it will hopefully generate is what will make the difference.

190k signatures versus how many votes for the LNP?

    Stop spreading your lies here.

We all know online petitions are how government policy is really decided... The recent election is just a sham to help the proles feel better about themselves.

Yes but it's not like it's 190k people for the NBN vs everyone who voted Liberal, I think even the petition organiser said he's pro liberal.

Hopefully the media coverage and upcoming "thorough cost analysis" will give FTTH a future.
