Went for a much needed walk today to clear my head. Praise Jesus there is a lot of wildlife in Canberra! I walked out with more shots I'm happy with than ever before.

A couple of shots here are from work as well, from the top of our mobile crane-towers in the tree canopy.

    1. Red-bellied black snake.

    2. Platypus.

    3. Blue Wren.

    4. Grey Fantail.

    5. Turtle.

    6. A very very tiny bunny. Unusual colour around here. Most are grey and white.

    7. A magpie with Camelback mountain in the background.

    8. Pink and Grey Galah.

    9. Noisy Minah.

    10. Red-Rumped parrots.

Epically cute and frightening shots. What lengths were you shooting the snake at?

Thanks everyone. The last snake shot was with the 100-400, kneeling from a few feet away. The first one was with the 100mm macro, laying on my stomach from about 7 inches away.

    You are a nutcase.

...in my humble, slightly snake-phobic, opinion:p

I second this motion. All these shots are fantastic, how long does it take to find that many animals to take photos of? I'm lucky to see a feral rabbit or a distant kangaroo.
