Is it basically a slightly larger x34, so it's their next iteration?

Not sure...there was supposed to be a X34P but no one knows when it is coming out.

I wonder if that's evolved into this. X34 was 100Hz OC'd, so if this is base 100Hz then it's a decent chance. Specs wise they seem similar otherwise, so it seems a bit pointless to have both the 35 and a x34P as well

Good it's a VA panel, can't stand IPS glow in the corners.

Looks like an updated 'P' version of their existing Acer Z35 but with higher resolution.

If similar to the HP/AOC, more ghosting & flickering compared to the IPS x34/pg348q.

seems to be freesync not gsync

will likely be priced out of contention once it gets here going by that 2nd link

Not sure I'm an overly big fan of the base and general styling.

It's like if the X34 and Z35 had a baby.

I'm pretty sure this is a GSYNC screen btw.

Some of the gaming styles are ok, not sure about this one. And I'm more into traditional sleek styling I guess.

I think it'll look okay on a mount (assuming vesa compatibility), I think I read some where the bezels have a matte finish so I think it's an okay compromise.

120hz is definitely going to get me over the line after using 144hz for so long.

Difference between 100 and 144hz is there, 120 and 144 not so much.

Without the bottom stand and wall mounted it would definitely look better.

Most would look better with a wall mount

Although the stand used in this monitor and the X34 is excellent in terms of stability, does take up too much desk space though.

I think my 40" phillips looks better on a stand rather than wall mount.

Buy the x34 or wait for the z35p and hope that the ghosting issue isn't a deal breaker... where is that x34p they promised :(

This is meant to be spec'd under the X34 so why is it more? (newer I guess)

VA panel is nice for blacks though.
