I'm trying to downsize from my 900 D

    In the build is currently-

2 x air cooled GTX 2080tis in SLI
    SoundBlaster AE5 soundcard
corsair H100i water CPU cooler (2 x120mm fan radiator)
    corsair HX 1200 PSU
    1 x Samsung SSD
    4 x 6TB WD Black HDDs
    1 x BluRay
a huge range of noctua 120 and 140 fans for case airflow and static pressure (20 in total, not all in use but available)

    Adding

    intel 9900k cpu
full sized motherboard (no idea yet)

Mid tower is the preference more airflow the better

I'm open to any style of case and I don't really care about the look but a nice simple box is better as it lives in the lounge room.

Also happy to cut holes in the case, so no glass side panels but acrylic or Perspex windows are ok

I can also mount under a solid wood sit/stand desk so an Open Frame Chassis case would also work or a case that I can mount vertical or horizontal.

Without choking airflow, what case would people recommend?

If I were you I'd build a dedicated NAS (and probably throw in a couple more drives).

Either way I'd be looking at a Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow edition.

20 fans and 4 spinning hard drives

Jesus, water cool the gpus and get a Nas. Why on earth do you need 20 fans?

    CerberusX from Sliger: http://www.sliger.com/products/cases/cerberus_x/

That being said it won't fit every single thing you listed, but it'll fit damn near most in a very stylish box the size of most M-ATX cases, almost as small as Fractal Define Mini or NZXT H200.

I don't need to put all 20 fans in, nor have I.

I just have them to use...

Sorry I should have been clearer

I do love the suggestions of nice small cases though as I am trying to downsize and a mid tower is better than a full tower (if possible)

Would a NAS slow down gaming performance if my games are on those HDDs?

How many games do you have?

I just assumed you have all that drive space for movies/tv/anime etc.

You wouldn't put games on a NAS at all.

With your specs I wouldn't pick anything that didn't have a mesh open front panel.

surely you don't have 24TB of games though.

find out what you REALLY need to keep on your gaming PC, i don't bother storing TV shows, movies or music on my gaming comp i moved them onto a NAS. but i know you do streaming so not sure what you need for that

    Had drive wise i have:

1x 500gig SSD for windows, dumping files while video editing
1x 1TB SSD for games (pretty much full)
1x 1.5TB HDD for other stuff

and i'm looking to consolidate it all into a 1TB SSD for windows and everything else and a 2TB Game drive. sounds like we both don't like to uninstall games.

case wise are you looking at something to show off the internals or just shove it off in a corner somewhere. If showing it off i'd look for something with a glass side, looks ALOT nicer then cheap plexi-glass

    Corsair Carbide Air 540?

I like plexi glass as I can cut into the side and mount side fans to cool the 2 x 20180tis

    Found a new 750D airflow in a store for $199 :)

Unless I find a cheaper one here on the forums.

So it is a 750D or a Corsair Carbide Air 540?

    Which way to go?
