So, my MS1's finally arrived They sound awesome - especially coming from Yuin PK3's and previously Sennheiser HD215's. However, given my hatred of "Y" cables it didn't take long for me to get sick of the standard cable. Opening up the drivers without causing damage isn't easy. I opted to break the glue loose with a thin screwdriver - caused some very minor damage to the casing but it's hidden by the ear pads etc.. Turns out they are just held together with hot melt glue. I connected the main cable to the left driver and fed the right channel through the headband (sorry, bad pic): Click to view full size! Both drivers were soldered to there respective wires and closed up by tacking them at a few places with epoxy. The end result; Max of 30mins of work (1.5m cable length): Click to view full size!
