About the right price for the specs right now. They'll come crashing down on price over the next couple of years, like everything. Good to see mainstream PC displays finally moving in this direction.

"Cheap" is about all. There's not a PC LCD that can come close to OLED for colour and image quality.

Honestly, in 2 years this forum will be all "OLED master race, LCD plebs, hurr" once you've all figured out out.

While I agree on the benefits of OLED, $6999 is slightly high considering the LG C9 oled are ~$2000.

HDMI 2.1 graphics cards surely aren’t far away

IS there anything special about this monitor that a 55" OLED tv wouldn't have worth $7k

    So it's just a c9 rebranded? You can get a c9 for under 2k

Yes but there is no HDMI 2.1 GPU now so currently the C9 can’t do 4K high refresh...

Not saying it’s worth the $5k premium!

5 star holiday in 3rd world places...

The people dumping 5 - 7k on monitors can normally afford both.

Are you trying to imply that a 5 Star Holiday in a 3rd world country is any less then another overpriced 1st world country?

You are right on your 2nd point though.

    TV/Monitor, I hate traveling

If that thing was 75" I would consider it as a main TV, but 55" is too small as a main TV in living room and too large as a monitor for my main rig.
