Pre Ordered the 1700 from Ebay . With the current 10% off it came to $450 delivered . Comes with a heatsink but my Cooler Master Hyper212X does have an orderable free AM4 bracket . I rang the Disty and they said they will supply them free but won't have any in stock till the end of March . Otherwise I can order direct from CM for about $15Au in postage .
My old I7 870/H55 is well and truly ready for retirement .

I think I'll wait for a review before I order the board and ram to see how they overclock and how real world performance is affected by ram speed/timings .

Considering I used to upgrade every 12/18months this has been a ridiculously long spell and after 7 years it sure should be reasonable jump .

note - am Only posting 'official' reviews in the OP. i.e those running production parts (that exludes a couple that have leaked out already)

I think it's caused enough trouble in the other thread hehe

I should have said, only posting official reviews in REVIEW section," Tests with dodgy bios' and Engineering samples masquerading as reviews "in the leaks section

That was the most single infuriating thing I've read in a long time, regardless of them stating it's a ES chip etc it's still misleading users and not indicative of retail performance

Ironic that the AM4 socket reminds me of the last AMD cpus that shook the tree - Clawhammer 754

I see Ars changed the headline on that review - it was a bit pissy.
