i've experienced blue balls before but 2020 is the year of blue wallets...
so much tech goodness that's come out without enough supply to satisfy demand.

I had tamed my expectations in terms of getting one, but I'm still disappointed that I missed out. Man, this shit sucks.

You can still add them to cart & checkout on Umart. I doubt there's any stock left, though...

Yeah only place left doing pre orders and that can't be right, they must be getting 10k orders a minute if other sites are to go by.

Managed to get an order in for 600 (non-XT) on mwave but not sure whether I'll keep it... (wanted the xt but woke at 1:05 and missed the no-stock boat)

I managed to get one from scorp but I was pretty late cause the credit card payment system kept bugging then I changed to paypal and it worked. I have an order number but no confirmation email so my gut tells me I missed out ffs

EDIT: got the confirmation email but the status is sold out. So confirms it fml

Ive got an order with scorpy for an asrock, placed at 1:09. Some activity on the order at 1:16, order confirmation email at 1:31am. Fingers crossed ive managed to secure one. PCCG and PLE were all sold out quicker than I could complete a checkout...

kinda shits me that there were 5 seperate listings and stock levels for essentially the same card, im sure 90% of people chasing a card wouldn’t have cared what model they received. Just another layer of RNG to contend with.

Wonder if it's gonna be a furious f5 refresh when the AIB cards launch sometime next week??
Interested to see if the custom cards punch out better performance with the factory overclocks
    and the actual retail pricing.

Looking through reviews the 6000 series is basically just a gaming card. It does match and slightly beat the 3080 in some games but for productivity like machine leaning, livestream video encoding, 3D rendering etc, its 2 generations behind. To some people , productivity doesnt mean much but for my use case Big Navi would not cut the mustard so Im still pretty happy with the 3080 purchase.

Price wise we are yet to see what AIB cards retail for but I expect those will be slightly cheaper than the equivalent 3080, which considering the lack of productivity features already mentioned, would be fair.

Reviews out there for the 6800XT shows that its seems to be a great 1080p/1440p gaming card. It does sufffer from poor ray tracing performance, and lack of hardware encoder for streaming. Well currently priced at $400 cheaper than a 3080, it would be a great deal for those 1440p gamers.

Doesn't really matter what the retail price is if the only stock is going to be from scalpers.

This is me as well. I use the 3080 for so much more than gaming. Still great to see AMD back at the table for gaming though. It's about time :)
