^^ that my friend is pure gold
Not so much an abundance but a more understood purchase process I think. Jumping on a PLE preorder now is at least SOME certainty, the card will eventually come, and you will pay a good price. I think 3080s are popping up in Aus at a rate where, if you spend a while checking sites and stuff, you will get one if you want to pay 1700+. If a 6800XT is going to cost $1500 with the nail-biting-f5-smashing-1-AM sanity tax I think its quite reasonable to pay up the $1700 for a slightly superior product (unless you really need VRAM or will save on PSU costs). This of course doesn't apply to those who don't want to pay more than "RRP-ish."
This is stupid, I shouldn't announce it because more ppl prob go for it but 6900xt $999usd around $1600 aud if aib 6800xt $1500 makes more sense to get a 6900xt for the stuff you cant just bolt on like a cooler
But the 6900XT will be 2k in stores here fo sho
Sheesh... I guess I was being modest when I predicted a $200-400 price bump for AIBs
I think we should all spare a thought for the poor blokes that panic sold there 2080ti's at the start of all this mess too
So glad I kept mine
Had a bad feeling about ampere and rdna2
Not the ones who offloaded their cards cheap
Is there any confirmation of a launch tonight?
Yes, there will apparently be some photos of cards nobody can actually buy put up on some online stores. Cant wait.
Must be nice holding millions in cash selling pixels.
6800XT reference was damn juicy at the price. I tried to get one, we all did. But that horse has bolted.
If those AIB prices are correct i am damn happy i ended up going 3080 route.
Not if amd sets the reference price for it like they did the 6800xt and 6800
Well I guess if we want good performance and decent price the only thing to do now is hold out for Intel's GPU release, who's with me boys
lol F5 gang report in
Only if it's like this
I swear if I see a $1400 ASRock 6800XT its over for AMD. Good luck.
Yep. When there were $1139 EVGA 3080's or whatever.. you've got to be joking.
Does this mean Ampere price increase?
