Just ordered an Asus Radeon RX 6900 XT from Umart - was going to post the link, but it's back out of stock now. Good luck people, and happy holidays!

Wouldn't be surprised if RDNA3 is delayed as well - it's going to take them that long to catch up and have enough RDNA2 to go around. Useless flogs.

idk... AMD has been on point architecturally speaking since 2017. The RDNA3 release won't occur at the same time as a dual console release, so I think gpu silicon will slowly catch up to demand.

Remember both AMD & Nvidia said they didn't expect the demand to be so stupidly high, this year has been a massive clusterfuck for tech. Didn't help that the PS5 & Xbox released at basically the same time and AMD had monster contracts to fill for both Sony & M$ before focusing on GPUs.

I've been rewatching some 6800 XT and 6900 XT reveiews and a lot of them mention the extreme coil whine. Anyone noticed that with their cards? Some of them mention that there was no sign of coil whine with the 6800 though.

I have a non-XT and haven't noticed much but I play with fps limited to 120. On occasions where vrr doesn't work in a menu or something, it is noticeable until it kicks in again and brings the framerate back down.

I was in PLE Heatherton yesterday and they had at least 10 each of lower and top end 6000's (6800,6900XT) on display. They also had some in bags labelled sold, so I can only assume that those I saw which weren't in bags were available for purchase. I should have asked, I know, I'm just not in the market for a GPU right now.

There were zero 6800XT's on display, apart from a couple of bagged 'sold' ones. What I am assuming from this is that the 6800XT is the one everyone wants. The 6900XT is (possibly?) too expensive, the 6800 is not good enough either from a bang for buck basis or just plain bang basis, I don't know which.

Another possibility I guess is that the cards which were available were just new stock and could have only been there for half an hour for all I know

Having just started this post I checked on availability and it does appear that they still have 6800's and 6900XT's available, but stocks are limited.

I'm not sure that there even is a 6900 yet. Someone might put me straight on that. The only models I am certain have yet been released are the 6800, 6800XT, and 6900XT.
