Damn these 2am events . Ain't nobody got time for dat!
1. Wake up at 7
2. report to this thread having found other members already summarised the event for you
7? more like 4 or 5 .
Miss out on orders cause all sold out by 2.05
You reckon orders will go live on announcement day? Seems unlikely
True. They do claim to have better stock than nVidia so giving them five minutes to sell out is fair compared to being eaten by robots.
If they have stock, it could be a great way to get around bots. Gives real consumers a chance to order before the bot scripts are tested and altered.
Get in and take all that 3070 money.
Nah. Legit, if you couldn't wait a month for big navi, and it does indeed wipe the floor with Nvidia across all price points, you deserve to have wasted your money on a 3xxx series
I was meaning AMD take all the money people might have been intending to spend on a 3070 the next day. There are people who will just buy the first thing available in their price point.
not too hopeful. likely big navi is just rtx 3070 levels of competence or RTX 2080 Ti levels
They were always going to need a miracle to jump from their current cards to the 3080 or 3090.
They have never done such a big jump before, AMD didn't even do it with their first AMD Athlon 64bit processors, which was considered huge at the time.
That's deflated the hype train a bit. But it was to be expected. Although I hoped they reached the '3080/3090' level that was being rumoured, it would be very hard to achieve. I mean it took their Zen processors, what 3 generations to finally match/beat intel in single core performance? That's a long time, and there's way more money in their Zen team than Radeon.
Tech people trying to eek out the last dribbles of public attention before the official unveiling.
Lol, because some nobody on Twitter said so?
I guess it got him some clicks.
They have ZEN talent on the RDNA team now though so who knows...
better have low expectations than be disappointed on the hype train. i'll still buy it if its RTX 3070 levels because of mac support
I can't find bugger all info. Is 2AM QLD time or when the announcement drops tonight when i can BUY these cards?
When are they for sale in Australia and through what companies? If anybody knows? Thanks.
No point waking up at 2am just to read some news i can read tomorrow. If i can buy, that's another story.
It will just be an announcement of the range with some marketing performance slides. Like the nvidia announcement and amd zen 3 announcement. They will announce a release date probably 2-4 weeks in the future, or maybe a surprise quick release to coincide with zen 3 next week but that wouldn't leave much time for review samples and shipping to distributors.
Its an announcement like the Ryzen announcement. You are looking at minimum 2 weeks to 1 month till the cards are in stores
