well it is asus... for example my xfx black sits happily at 1350 stock is 1328 that's a reference card.
techpowerup state the reference cards only go to 1335 so unless asus also modified the bios right i can see them getting stuck.

i,ll wait to see the big xfx aftermarket one because i know with better cooling and power delivery these will easily crank 1400

    6+2 phases

    or the devil of course

    http://videocardz.com/62489/powercolor-announces-radeon-rx-480-red-devil-for-269-usd

6+1 phase and those are updated as well.

that is just 2 and not sure on the nitro specs. But if the leaks are to be believed 1428 is what it was doing

this of course blows the power out a bit :)

There will be a bit of varation in OC potential as a consequence to the large ASIC quality variation out there, that's been noted elsewhere.

GlobalFoundries Process is almost certainly a problem in achieving yields, and high enough clockspeeds - time will tell if this relatively (to TSMC 16nm) immature , and not particularly 'high clock friendly' process will improve.

It would be interesting to know if there's higher performance orientated variant's of 14nmLPP in the works, with Zen and Zen+ incoming. I haven't heard of anything personally.

Not to go off topic but I assure you even with a 144hz monitor you will have no issues with a 1060... Or a 480 for that matter.

Not saying there will be - There's been no indication of any official process variant other than the current 14LPP - which as known is a Samsung technology

but as for it being immature, well yes, the RX480 is the first off the press. TSMC on the other hand, has had their 16nmFF+ in many products already. Most notably Apple's (amazing) A9X.

Probably more like +15% .. At +10% it was sitting on 1310Mhz . 1328 is the max boost clock set, so there's no point pushing it to +23% without also upping the boost clockspeed, it's just going to flatline @ 1328

Are there are rumours about local pricing for the 460?

I don't think the 470 will be readily available / affordable, so I might just get the 460 instead.

I'm worried it could end up being an A$200 card?

    yeah but
a r9 Nano is faster than a 390x and half the power for the same money...well a few dollars more.
and if it came down to a gtx 1060 vs a Nano i would pick the Nano :) hell a rx 480 scrapes at the heels of a 390x now and again less power.

not that you should think i care less for power...i run a house full of overclocked amds :) and furyx/Nano crossfire so yeah.

That XFX certainly looks nice. Ive been sorely tempted to buy, but I think I'll just hang out for the next round of cards.... The backplate almost got me over the line though!

Not much of a deal when they're $379 every day of the week?

that 379 one by the way is overclocked 1288 throw in 20 bucks and you get 1328 and a DP to DVI adapter(that has to worth a few bucks in itself)
