295x2 is going to chew serious juice so I would have a 1k or better psu...not like it won't be good for other builds down the track.

I like my corsair rm1000 quiet and does the job.

as for the 7970xfire is a fury....except for one flaw it works in all games not just ones with a profile :)

when you get ut4 max out every setting to epic and all settings to max seriously fun fast game and sooooo pretty.

    also
    ~ stat fps
for a fps screen also a few million other commands there as well to use.

what I don't get is how come ARK runs like such a dog guess more meshes more details skies etc but still.

in other news wizard from tpu got the voltage control working and it basically just sucks so don't expect 980ti thrashing results.

I think I will need to settle for a close but not quite good card card(at least I don't need to buy an invaider)

I virtually get the same score as you on my 3930k 7970 combo. While my wifes 2500k 980ti combo gets at least 1000 more then you.

Yours should be higher? or do i need to change the setting, i just ran at 1920x1200 and didnt change anything.

my chip in games is about as useful as tits on a bull it is only when you get to my res 1600p and above I have even a snowball chance in hell of catching anyone :)

It's been sometime since I have had a AMD GPU (HD6990).

What are some "must have" software and utilities for the card?

Is there 3rd party sites, custom drivers or registry fixes?

    Particularly for any xfire issues.

Really looking forward to having 295x2 up and running. Just waiting on the Skylake and Win 10 releases for the new build.

Received mine today – Asus Fury X from PCCG. I got the old pump with the whine it seems. Anyone else so far had to return them? What was the turnaround time? I'm not keen on waiting weeks and weeks for a replacement.

just read the thread on overclock.net here and they are having some success with hawaii chips and fiji (most furys unlocking to 3840 shaders).

Someone even patched in support for tahiti GCN 1.0 chips, but all cards so far are laser fused (tested 7950/7850), will keep an eye on that thread, i have a 7750 that OC's like a champ, would be cool to unlock some more shaders on it (if it did, id switch over to linux, and pass through my gtx970 to a win10vm for gaming while using the radeon for the linux desktop (much lower non-3d power usage))

Just reading a similar article now

    http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphi...erformance-Tested-Ashes-Singularity-Benchmark

The scaling seems fairly consistent with the drawcall test in 3Dmark. My first thought is wow, AMD really did a job on their DX11 drivers :Paranoid:

Lol @ Nvidia already being on the offensive. I shouldn't think they have too much to worry about at the moment.

I'm guessing you mean dx12, and yeah, I agree, but also think that amd's architecture is likely more optimised for direct gpu access than nvidia's.
... Also dx12 takes a lot of ques from mantle, so I wouldn't be suprissed if and also found it easier to write drivers for it

It looks like DX12 will breathe new solid improvements into AMD cards there but seems a bit pointless to draw conclusions on amd v NVidia off one set of benchmarks.

The 980Ti going backwards from DX11 seems pretty clear there's driver issues there.

yeah if you can get the games and apps...survival ark is primed for this and sitting hitting refresh hoping they do a rebuild.

but if the elemental demo is anything to go by it is a bit hit and miss.

plas this ash thing you need to pay 50 bucks to bench the damn thing and going by the page stardock etc I don't hold high hopes
