I've also never called a guy who was helping get an entire Thai soccer team out of a cave a "paedo" because he called out my self-serving exploitation of a genuine tragedy in order to live out a hero fantasy while banging someone sixteen years younger than me, either.

Or gotten hairplugs and jawline implants.

Just picked up a used 1080Ti for this exact reason.

50% of the performance of a 6800XT AIB for 33% of the price.

    Same as always.

    Nvidia wins.

    Consumer gets screwed.

$900 delivered 1080ti from over 3 years ago just keeps on gaining value.

I know this is kind of random and wishful thinking but with the Vulka api getting ray tracing that can be done a the cpu, would this not be a better implementation like I have 14 cores 28 threads of which games use 4-6 cores max even if you have 8 with 16 threads that's still a heap of processing power that could be utilised and its just sitting there. why gpu's need to do all the calcs for lighting?

Don't see why they couldn't work out how to do the calcs there then get the gpu to render it. I mean I'm not an expert but it seems doable to me lol.

Yeah after all this I am less hopeful that I will be nabbing a 6900xt as no one really got a 6800xt due to price or non availability. I’ll assume if there happens to magically be stock
Of 6900xt than I’ll have way more competition

Anyone else get the scorptec email? Asking to email back your preference?

EDIT: Gigabyte 6800 XT Gaming OC (286mm looks like it might just fit my case)

If the 1st party 6900xt comes in at around $1699 AUD, well that's not much more than the higher priced 6800XTs.
There'll be like 30 cards nationally and 10,000 nerds trying to buy them.

Got the scorptec email, locked in a nitro as well. I'm quite impressed they stayed true to their word about the priority list.

Oof, so it's just a place in a queue without a commitment to buy then?
