AMD Radeon RX5000 Series - First "Navi" Cards

    im almost considering taking my cooler off and appling the nylon/rubber washer and new thermal paste as i love the look of this thing.

    Pretty crazy when you compare it to a 2060/super how much smaller the die is and smashes it out of the park. Thats what interests me the most about this 5700XT

    To be fair Navi has the advantage of 7nm die vs 2060 on 12nm. Tu106 (used on 2070/2060super/2060 but not 2070 super) has 10.8b transistors vs 10.3b for navi10, but of course tu106 has some underpowered ray tracing cores adding to the transistor count. I'd call it a slight win for AMD in terms of transisters vs performance, but not a lot in it imo. Either way for gaming it's a huge swing compared to last gen of vega64 vs 1080 (12.5b transistors vs 7.2b)

    Even with current dollar should be $675 allowing for tax. Definitely overpriced

    Once the AIB's come out I think we will see some way more appealing XT's :)

    Everything we've seen so far the AIB cards perform near on identically to the reference cards, they're just quieter while doing it... and in Australia at least that silence is going to cost you.

    Oh really, thats disappointing - admittedly I haven't followed this closely.

    How much cooler does it run you think?

    Yea people at umart said alot of gigabyte rtx cards had issues especially the 2060
