    Behold, the 6600xt!

15% more expensive than the 3060 for 10% faster performance at 1080p and basically same performance at 1440p on average, but less vram and way less memory bandwidth. Why anyone would buy this over the closest price competitor (3060 ti) I have no idea. This product should be cheaper than the 3060, at least the 3060 has 12gb vram for future proofing and more memory bandwidth. And ray tracing performance hit is way higher than the other AMD gpus. And of course if you're running an older motherboard that x8 bandwidth can become a big issue. AMD managed to make a worse value product than the 3080 ti, that's quite an effort.

    Shame about the Infinity cache....

Would have been interesting to see how N23 would have performed with double the IC.

Would be especially for the 1440p doom eternal result above where it's looking memory starved, but I guess from AMD's point if view add more cache it becomes close enough to navi 22 in die size that it's harder to justify the extra design cost/masks etc vs just selling a cut down 6700xt like the 5600xt was a cut down 5700xt.

It's been in stock for like 5 hours, I think there seems to be good amount of stock. We'll see if they ever come back into stock once they are out though I guess.

Pump is on a temp profile , so at idle, completly inaudible.

Flat out, it's almost inaudible, except for a bit of vibration hum you can only hear in a silent room. P12 fans amazing too.

it's a shame about the pricing, The card is decent underneath.. stellar perf/watt @1080p , still very good at 1440p where that bandwidth is becoming an issue. Seeing RDNA2's even more impressive efficiency at these lower levels is making me super keen to see what it can do in Rembrandt

Yeah pretty much, If this was an rx580 replacement at AUS$400 or even $450 it'd be rave reviews everywhere.

Yep true, Powercolor fighter just sold out. AMD can now claim they had MSRP cards.

Can't see any 5700G vs 6600XT reviews... would be interesting to budget builders

Is the 6600XT REALLY as bad as reviewers say??

tldw: Yes. Sidegrade from 5700XT, rrp sucks ("manufacturers have realised we could sell a polished turd for $429 (USD)), current pricing sucks even more.

tldr: If you need 1080p gaming buy a 5700XT second hand, or look at a 3060Ti.

Except if you can't afford the 3060ti

Also a 5700xt will probably set you back more than both 2nd hand

Yep $1k+ on ebay for secondhand 5700xt. cheapest in stock 6600xt is $700. All are terrible value cards at those prices to be clear.

Any of you guys running reference 6900XTs underwater?

Kinda stuck on which block to go, ideally I'd go Heatkiller but almost $300 for a block is a bit much when it cant be reused on other cards. Been looking at Bykski or Barrow but not sure about fitment. Don't really want to go over priced shitty nickle plated EK crap.

    You can do better ;)

This is my AMD Reference 6800 XT (stock air cooler) pulling 22,608 graphics score on TimeSpy:

See how your GPU clock is dropping in the second GPU test? That might be due to hitting the cards power limit, if you already have your TDP jacked you might want to run More Power Tool and increase your TDP watt and amp limits if you haven't already.

    Both super impressive scores.

Nice , OCnunkee.. your points vs clks seem very good !

SKITZ0_000 . Yeah I'm already upped to around 315w( I think ) total ASIC , don't know if can safely push any more than that . Pretty sure I could push those dips up buy sacrificing peak clocks ( as I could undervolt more ) . Interestingly the opposite is true for doom ethernal where it's pretty much pegged at over 2.7ghz all the time with only high 200s power draw.. could benefit from OV instead. ( 1440p Ultra nightmare RT on btw)
