They recommend I move to an idiotic 16 core CPU and a overpriced 5700XT.
I think you should remove such stupidity from the Radeon SW centre AMD, for example, if I had a 4 core CPU you could recommend a lower to mid level 8 core, that's not so far fetched, but do you really think I'm going to move to a 16 core CPU and all the associated costs of doing so, ie, better mobo and expensive ram?

Sounds like a stupid feature, direct from the marketing department.

You'd prefer if AMD socially profiled you and served you advertising content that you'd might want?
    That's the only other option...

They don't need to socially profile when they already KNOW my system specs, this is why it's idiotic to recommend such a jump based on my specs and also regardless, iow, suggesting I spend $1400 on a 16core CPU is stupid.
    I wonder if i had a 16core would they recommend I jump to a 32core TR, lol.

There's probably rarely an actual need to upgrade, and they know people just like to upgrade regardless of need.

But why not ignore it? I mean is it wrong? It is an upgrade, maybe you wanted to know what else they offer?

I mean is it a waste of time, yes. But why so mad?

I guess because they knew my specs, ie, I spent a massive $165 on my CPU yet they somehow thought a $1400 16 core was the next logical step, lol.
    Also I wouldn't buy a GPU with less than 8gig these days, so the cheapest meaningful upgrade over a 470 other than a 580 8gig was a 5700 8gig.
I've never spent this amount on a GPU upgrade for such little performance increase, ie, 470-580, granted if vram kicks in it'll make a big difference.

Last few times were 4850 I gig -6850 1gig which was huge, then 7950 3g, huge again, and 470 4g, which was also a big jump....but now I need to spend $650+ on a 5700 to get the normal boost.
I spent approx $330 on the 7950 but it came with 2 games I was going to buy, ie, Crysis 3 and Bioshock Inf, which made the 7950 cost about approx $210.

I wanted to buy a new PC after all the next gen stuff came out, instead I find myself unemployed and facing massive price increases relative to the past.

    Nvidia aren't any better of course....maybe they'd recommend a $2000 2080ti and some silly $3000 20 core intel cpu.
