Guessing, AMD guarded it very well :D . All you need is 5 seconds in the monitor menu to figure out if it's running G-sync or not.

Anyway, not a big fan of "but you cannot tell the difference" tactic.

yeah i wouldn't look into the frontier if your not doing any render work at all.

No gamer should ever buy this at all.

    They are $1299 at newegg.au

The worst thing anyone can say about a new video card release is waiting for drivers to mature.

A bad card stays a bad card, drivers never change that, the improvements are minimal, card specific and almost always game specific.

Those AMD Vega frontier benchmarks are interesting, AMD claim RX Vega is faster, but it will need to be a lot faster to compete with the 1080. We'll see.

Adoredtv did some digging, almost certain that the left system was vega due to the monitor being used. The right system could either be a 1080 or a 1070.

 "guarded", I would have flipped the fabric up on one of the stands just to check, screw em :leet:.

Yep me to, is a stupid tactic unless each "show" was a different Vega up against a different Nvidia card but doubtful.

Didn't AMD do this same "blind test" shit with Faildozer?

They probably switched systems for PDX but still just looking at the monitors should give a rough idea, I think he was right about the monitors though.

Knowing which monitor is which wouldn't tell you much about what videocards are in the system. We still don't know if RX Vega will be a single card or not, or if its going up against a GTX or TI in the demos shown.

That's true but knowing which system is which would mean you could ask people which they felt was smoother and at least roughly guess how well Vega performs.

If your meaning "dual card" like 2 cores I doubt it, if you mean versions of cards like what's rumoured. well that's what I meant when I said

For all we know the first show could have been the low end Vega against a 1070, PDX could have been middle or top Vega against a 1080.

Considering they managed a 15% performance increase based solely on drivers, who's to say they couldn't do the same again or more? I mean I can't say and it's not likely, but still, I remember huge driver based gains in years past.

I'm all for waiting this one out. I mean I must admin I'm hyped, but i'm not holding my breath. Considering the raw Tflop figures of RX Vega Frontier, it would be a shame to see it not beat out the Ti on that basis, but again, it's not just about raw performance.

They did actually say in the presentation one of the systems was a 1080

Crossover monitors, for Korean 'generic' monitors (most monitors use Korean panels, the only difference here is the assembly) are generally pretty decent. You get what you pay for, if you can afford a brand name and care about slight back-light variance / bleed then definitely get a trusted reviewed brand name monitor. If that's less of a concern and you're more after x panel freesync performance, it's a good solid option.

I have two Crossover 2795QHD monitors 1440P @ 90hz on GTX 1080's, they're not perfect but they're damn good for the money and great quality for gaming.

RX Vega is a single card.

And its very likely it was a 1080.

Being a 1070 or 1080 Ti means nothing as we couldn't see any real information.

One can dream, all new features optimised, patches out day one for every major game to support the new architectural features that need game support, taking full advantage of primite shaders and fp16 math.

I wouldn't be surprised if Navi did that seeing that is meant to be Raja's creation.

Some might have already just ended up buying 10 series Nvidia or will now wait for Volta.
