i might swap to ryzen later if their game performance gets better and RAM prices drop but honestly its apples to apples with my current cpu in most games.

But i am in a BAD need for a GPU upgrade and AMD just keep screwing up every time.

Polaris was absolute joke if you already had a 290/390/fury

yup Polaris is a side grade with less power if tweaked. I had the MSI Gaming X for a week. (part of my 1080 trade ages ago) was not bad tbh but nothing 1080 :D

No it's AMD, it hasn't been ATI since like 2010.

why are ayymd fans so salty?

The Vega RX is literally just a Fury X on 14nm with a tweaked memory config/controller

I buy whatever GPU is best at the time but prices lately have been so out of whack the lately im just settling in and awaiting the shitstorm to pass, hopefully once bitcoin totally crashes everyone will offload their crap and crash the market.

Until then fuck knows i hope GPU manufacturers keep costs down

Lol have fun waiting, Bitcoin is predicted to go to 3 - 4k by the end of the year and maybe upwards of 10k next year...

I'm not an "AMD fan" I buy whatever suits me. I'm curious about Vega because I like the idea of HBM2.

The point of my post is purely to poke fun at people who have niche requirements for this card and are dismissing it as such before specs have dropped officially. It's all well and good you aren't buying but your sale is a drop in the ocean even for a small market like high end GPUs.

Why are you implying i care what ayymd or whoever think about me buying their cards or not? I am just saying they have been consistently screwing up since 2015

Vega will still run demanding games or should, power draw and price are the things we really need to know about it though. However I think we're also pretty sure on power and price at this point, power will probably be at least 350w for the top end WC version and price probably $800 - $1200, considering it's HBM2.

I just want to know release dates for AIB cards now.

I just want a card that does a good job at 4k and maintains 60fps for most the time.

which is why i bought 2x titan XP's back in september last year and have never looked back

you'll be saving for the NEXT generation of cards after the 10 series from nvidia and VEGA unless your willing to go SLI or can handle turning graphic settings down which i don't like to do
