    Yup

AMD should know that cards cost more normally, but we have the mining crazy creating a huge shortage of the cards.

So if they are planning on waiting for release day to hype up the card, it can't happen as they will be unavailable or overpriced.

The best option here is to hype up the cards knowing stock will be difficult or overpriced so people want them anyway.

My view is that Gsync was always the way to go because with Freesync there is no quality control as to how well or not it's implemented on monitors, so Freesync is a bit of a lottery.
It's a shame for those like yourself that have been waiting but if it was me I'd fuck AMD right off and get what is proven to work well and as intended.

There's alot of speculation in this thread being presented as fact and that's rather sad to see.

Settle down, not much longer until all is known :)

I posted a list earlier in the thread containing all monitors that have been FreeSync certified by AMD alongside a post stating that certification will be more stringent for FreeSync 2, you must have missed it :)

Maybe Freesync 3 or 4 will do the trick
What matters is right now not what may or may not be coming in the future

I've personally used 5 different FreeSync monitors that have all been certified and all 5 worked as intended, if it's not on the list then it's not certified and that's the end of that.

For now, kick back and relax, all will be revealed soon enough :)

I am relaxed since I haven't been waiting around this past year waiting for something to happen.
I suspect that the only thing that will be revealed is a huge elephant.

Vega should have been released at Computex realistically but that didn't happen, this late in the year and with the rumoured power draw / performance, unless the price is good (which it probably wont be) AMD are in trouble.

Unless AMD can really pull something out of there asses it looks like Vega is going to be a flop, the fact there not doing a livestream almost confirms that. I was hoping it would be decent but all the rumours and shit say otherwise, find out tomorrow I guess.

If that price is true at least its in the 1080 range...

    Performance would be nice now.

Keep in mind that pricing could just be pulled from his ass, without a screenshot it means nothing. If that price is true AMD are going to have a hard time setting it seeing that's almost exact 1080 pricing, factor in the power draw and it's going to be an extremely hard sell.

The 1080 was $599 USD ($699 for FE). If Vega is faster than a 1080, then the price is good.

Yeah was it's now $510 for the cheapest one on Newegg. Fuck knows what it'll be when it gets here as well, probably very close to 1080 price.

We still don't know for sure if this is a paper launch as well or if review samples will / have been sent out.

Without knowing if it's (just for arguments sake) avg 10% slower, equal, or 10% faster than a 1080 , it's impossible to comment on whether $499 is good or not.
