    Just pre-ordered one last night.

Was in the Market for a water cooled 1080 TI, but someone put a Vega FE for only $1050AUD "Buy it Now" on eBay. My damn curiosity!

What do you guys think Vega's performance will be once it supports tile based rasterization?

The Vega 64 will probably, if the feature is not enabled already, gain another 10-15%. Bringing it just under the 1080ti.

Don't dismiss that shit post too quickly, you do realise that ASUS will allegedly be releasing the Ares IV, which will be dual vega 64's on one PCB.

Or Powercolor will bring out a dual Vega Devil 13. Which would be appropriate, as it will be as hot as hell.

It couldn't really be that much could it? that'd put the Vega 56 at 1080 levels for 1070 prices.

I think this is funny considering AMD is taking a step back from cross fire so unless Asus keep up to day with profiles or they've found a better way to do it this thing is probably DOA.

I'll probably be ordering from either PCCG, Scorptec or Umart unless we get completely fucked on the pricing then maybe Newegg but shipping from there is expensive.

or the classic AMD strategy, launch driver and never update. Just mark the product as legacy after 6 months.

Well it's not 100% AMD's or Nvidia's fault that multi cards aren't supported, game devs need to code it and most never bother.

That's what makes this card so interesting, if AMD are taking a step back but Asus release, who the hell is going to keep it updated, unless like I said Asus have found a way to run it on a hardware level.

these type of niche products are always a bad idea, high price and usually difficult to get any long term support.

One of the nice points of DX12 is the fact that it should make CFX/SLi much easier - haven't really looked at this recently as I dont run multiple GPU's currently.

I read somewhere that AMD/Nvidia are looking at sticking multiple cores together in the same package. Not sure how this would be handled by drivers/api or hardware bridges and how they would logically show up to the system.

Either way, ARES has always been a waste of money... its the LCD Fridge, they make it for marketing and thats it.

And what is this based on?

You really need to provide a source if you are going to say something like that

Get ready for amazing performance in 5% of games and terrible or negative performance in the other 95%
