Do you mean something other than normal watercooling?

I didn't realise they had that outside of like phase change or dry ice etc! That's cool (EDIT: Punintentional)

Will probably come down to price of the Vegas. If the BIOS on the Vega is moddable they could be tuned for mining efficiency to reduce power consumption.

I'm sure the big miners are already playing it out on spreadsheets right now :)

The 70 MH estimate is around the performance of 3 x 570s which draw about 100-120W each. So also a dead heat in terms of power draw.

If the price of the Vegas are lower and the BIOS can be modded they will probably be snapped up.

Yeah, chilled water cooling is a thing. Sub zero temperatures are possible with the right setup.

I'm waiting on money so I can get some glycol for my loop, I should be able to hit below zero then pretty easily. If that doesn't work it'll be time to mod an air conditioner...

While we all like to bash disty and retailers.

For first release Vega, they are all reference cards. AMD are more than capable of controlling the retail price just like what they did with the Ryzen 7 CPUs.

Like I said earlier, the previous announced "retail" price was BS and only availible if you bundle shit from select retailers.

I guess the non-reference cards with custom cooling will be well over $1000?

Wow, I was expecting this to be around 800-900 for a limited edition card, one can buy an evga 1080ti from newegg with shipping around the same price.

Unless that's a place holder price (probably isn't) I guess AIB cards will be 1080Ti prices... or close enough to it.

    So Vega 56... $750 - $800 you guys think?

They might be referring to Scorptec's site.

Looks like they may have taken it down or have had enough pre-orders?
