The vega 56 card imo is an amazing bit of kit. And you can get it up to almost rx 64 performance with a bios flash and OC. Which for $600 is amazing imo, if (and it's a bloody big IF) AMD can keep the stock levels high, I reckon the 56 would be the best bang for buck card by a mile. And IMO I'd either go 56 or jump straight to a 1080 TI.

64 is such a bad value card. I reckon amd messed up something shocking. They had to have thought it'd be faster or the 56 would have been gimped further.

vega 56 = '1070 plus' OR '1080 lite' ; based on fps i've seen in reviews.

    needs to be priced accordingly

(but its mining performance is ahead of the 1080 ..i think)

and i sure as hell dont want a stock vacuum style fan

What I believe is Vega56 was originally intended to be their highest performing card but when performance was found wanting they cherry picked higher performing gpus and called it Vega64.

This makes more sense rather than AMD screwing up.

Can someone start a vega overclocking thread, as this thread is full with crap comments and speculation which have been of no value at all. I'm not active on here enough so if someone else could kick it off please.

I was responding to this invitation - or at least I thought I was.

I actually thought you might be interested in knowing approximately where your card sat in the hierarchy. It was just a factual post with no crap comments or speculation. My sincere apologies if you think it shows your card in a bad light or something, that was not my intention.

Sad that you think this info is of no value. I won't bother you again.

Was in reference to these comments razz. I'd much rather read things that are in direct relation rather than people's opinions biased on nothing without even having a card. A thread related to overclocking and peoples experiences with things they are trying is much more useful and worth reading
