Probably been asked before but I'm to lazy to look , how much are we expecting the top end card to be?
We should know tomorrow evening. No point speculating too much, supposedly just under 1080ti rrp but just wait and see..
Really? thought we were gonna have to wait till Computex, cool. Just under 1080Ti is still fucking expensive, was hoping for 1080 money .
Current assumption based in leaks is 3 models in the stack, so you'd have an option in that range still
At $599 that's $200usd cheaper than the current pricing of 1080ti's. And if it flogs the 1080ti I don't see why they would set the price at $200 less.
That info came from a reddit post that was subsequently deleted. A lot of absurd information was in there, just garbage sounding stuff about the name conventions and all that jazz. Meh. Wait until there's an official announcement. This is just what happened with Polaris. Stop feeding into rumors and wait for the facts, that way no one is over hyped and the product is what is is.
I wont be surprised to see the top end Vega at 1080Ti prices here tbh, our currency's down the shitter (not as bad as it was but still crap), shipping anything here costs a fortune plus import fees, GST etc. Think we can expect Vega to cost a pretty penny, now if it performs as well or better as Nvidia counterparts then I suppose it's not that bad.
How does that make any sense? Both Nvidia and AMD have to get it here the same way. You are implying that there is something to do with Australia that will effect its pricing compared to Nvidia. The prices in Australia after early adopters pricing isn't that much more then the US especially when you factor in local warranty. I think AMD will price it according to the performance of their DX12/Vulkan games compared to Nvidia which won't be very good value but I would like to be proven wrong.
I think they will target the 1080Ti for the top end pricing, maybe try to undercut by a couple of hundred. Would be nice if they do a Ryzen and come in at $600 for Ti performance
it won't happen purely because of the cost to manufacture of the card.( im assuming you mean $600AUD) I also believe the leaked pricing is accurate. The card is that close to release now the pricing and details of the card would have to have been decided on and that information would be known internal to the company and most likely many external vendors as well, info like this can and does leak out however, the mid range card might be the winner of the bunch especially if the core/memory is the same and it is just a downclocked version of the higher end card, it could be a bang for ya buck winner. However, I suspect it will have shaders disabled as well as being downclocked. hopefully, these details are revealed tomorrow.
