There is still a chance for AMD to stuff up...

If Vega performs near the 1080 AMD have screwed up, if it performs say 10% slower than the 1080Ti, AMD have done a decent enough job. The other thing is release date, if this thing really isn't coming till July - August, well that's a screw up to. Hopefully we'll find out in a couple of hours.

Personally I'm hoping they say release date is early in June and it'll be $500 USD and they have AIO's slapped on them .

Edit, I suppose another way they could screw up is if they don't talk about the RX Vega at all  .

They have to talk about Vega, they under big pressure from customers/fans already. Another delay won't be good at all.

AMD already mentioned that this will be paper launch of Vega on Computex so realistically we looking at end of July the earliest or August/Sept for Vega to show up with full lineup.

Also nvidia didn't talk about Volta (20xx series) at all yesterday so I don't think the volta release is around the corner

Sweet - 1.5hrs to go. Looking forward to hearing this though I expect to hear next to nothing about Vega specifically other than usual cherry picked % better than type slides. It will definitely be a focus on CPU side of things.. Wonder what clocks they will see on the thread ripper CPU :)

If this turns into some kind of circle jerk session about Threadripper and Vega Frontier Edition I suspect the tears of impotent rage will be worth bottling.

End of July launch for RX Vega. My bottling plant is now in action. I was holding off on this before pulling the trigger on a 1080Ti.

So they showed 30 seconds of 2x RX Vega, no FPS display or any real info.
RX Vega is end of July

    2 more months. Brutal.

Well they better show some performance indications that make it seem amazing. Doesnt seem likely though.

So end of July for the RX Vega... it better be 10 - 20% faster than the 1080Ti otherwise AMD is going to have a fucking massive shit storm to deal with.
