How to install a Threadripper CPU. I wonder what that cooler is that they are using.

Using torx screws isn't very consumer friendly unless they include a screwdriver

Yup if you're buying Threadripper one would assume you'd have torx screwdrivers.

Even the people for workstations are only buying 7700 and Ryzen 7, they won't be buying HEDT/TR. How do I know? I sell custom built PC's to these people on a daily basis. It's hard enough to sell R7 to many people wanting workstations, as a STUPID amount of programs are so poorly optimised for multithreading. I sell 7700 to 80% of 'workstation' customers.

Only the people that say 'I run TONS of shit all at once' get R7. TR is ONLY for simulation, video editing folk and people rendering for days at a time.

Don't forget ECC. I am planning a ZFS server on Threadripper due to ECC support + large amount of RAM support.

HEDT or not doesn't change the fact it's a consumer (you could say prosumer) focused product

Calm down, you were right once in your life. Doesn't make any of your ramblings any more believable.

lol I have generally been correct, Vega is a DOA flop as well that is also clear even to blind Freddy.

375w TDP similar or lower performance than a 1080 at the same price LOL anyone who buys one is on some serious good meds.

Nvidia will drop the price of the 1080 by $50 and vega will not sell, not even to miners, 375W TDP for the 30(ish) mh/s it gives --- is not good value.

I ahve juyst put in an order for a 4k 34" Acer Predator Gsync IPS screen to replace my freesync screen as I doubt I will be going back to AMD anytime soon, On the positive side I managed to finish MassEffect over the weekend.

    The Predator X34 isn't 4k, it's 3440x1440 about 3M pixels less than 4K.

Seriously though you have polluted the shit out of this thread. We get it Intel/Nvidia are tickling your balls just the way you like it at the moment, more power to you but the rest of us are tired of the same posts every day.
This thread a isn't an AMD fanboy thread, seriously fuck Vega, we are meant to be talking about the Zen architecture not which companies we like and hate.

Interesting statement. The predator x34 is not a 4K monitor at all. Its a 3K monitor.

And ME is a POS. What a waste of life.
