Pub gigs, typically its 50/50 as to being mic'd up or not, so I need the flexibility of both.

I don't care about wall shaking at home (to a degree, so long as I don't have to wear ear plugs to play it at home I'm happy)

I don't care about the weight either.

a marshall dsl50 and a cab went on ebay a couple of months ago for around 1200.... jcm900 @ melb gumtree http://melbourne.gumtree.com.au/c-S...00-SLX-High-Gain-100W-Head-W0QQAdIdZ146280259 $800, a courier to get it delivered around $40 with insurance. then you just need to find a cab. there's so many good deals when you buy 2nd hand... sure go try some amps new at a store but the fact is you aren't getting all that much for that price range compared to 2nd hand.
