    La Trappe shouldn't cost $20 for one of those 500mL corked ones. It should be about $15 off memory, and you should be able to pick up a 4 pack of 330mL for about $18. This is all going off 6 month memory, though, so don't quote me on it.

    edit: If you like the La Trappe, I highly highly recommend moving through to trying the Leffe range of brews. They're gorgeous, and I find the Radieuse to be divine (Quadbox, on the other hand, prefers the Brune).

    Ive only had blonde and brune. love the blonde, brune didnt do that much for me though. havent found Radieuse or any of the others.

    maybe it shouldn't but it did.
    Come to think of it this wasnt' from dan murphy, but vintage cellars at the central market in adelaide.
    Would love to try other similar brews, none at bottleos near me though, :(

    Get to a dan murphys or 1st choice and hunt down Leffe. You'll thank me later ;)

    Bah, Leffe is better than Aussie megaswill, but it's not that great. Take a look at where you can drop a couple lobsters and really enjoy yourself http://www.belgian-beer-cafe.com.au/default.asp?id=10

    I was there (the Brisbane one) last Saturday with a few OCAUers :)

    Leffe is a good price-range for an entry-level Belgian. It's not pocket-breaking, but it is decent quality without a shadow of a doubt. Given that he seems relatively new to the Belgian offerings, I would've thought it's a wise place to start.
