So here's my story : Phone : Galaxy S10 with latest updates. My ex got her I.T brother to hack into my phone & read all my whatsapp sms, & other social media conversations. How do i know this? everytime i would chat with a friend on whatsapp,sms etc they would get a anonymous call, sometimes harassing calls & even threatening. i have anti virus & did a scan, no malware phone is clean. so this had been goin on for a few months until unknowingly she forgot to hide her phone number when calling a friend of mine to harass. Can someone explain how this hack happened ? no software installed on my phone for hacker to view phone content. Also, what can i do to secure my phone to prevent future incidents like this?
i did upto the point whatsapp discontinued the service couple of weeks ago. But the annoyance kept going even until yesterday. Im wondering if this is now a police matter ?

The only thing they could possibly do is install an app that can mirror SMS and calls logs. You'd see these in the app list. IF that had even happened, resetting the phone would remove the app. Newer versions of android for many years now don't allow things to run in the background without you knowing very well about it with persistent notifications etc. So I would be surprised if that's the case. But reset the phone if you're concerned and set up a screen lock.
i use it every day. it's not discontinued. I'd be logging into whatsapp and force logging out all devices
They probably didn't hack it, your ex gf has probably got all your login details. Log out of everything, change passwords.
yep going to guess this.... go into whatsapp on your phone, press the : buttons on the top right hand side, select WhatsApp Web check what devices are logged in
