Does anyone know where I can find the bookmarks file?

    I've tried looking in
    phone\Android\data\com.android.chrome\
But there's only a files and download folder. No bookmarks to be found.

Ideally I'd like to find a bookmarks.html file (or any text based file) so I can edit/create the file on my desktop then manually upload it to the phones (samsung A30) folder location for whichever browser.

The in browser bookmark editing function is frustrating and slow, using a desktop pc would be exceedingly better.

I don't mind swapping to a different browser - if any allow the method described above I'll swap to it.

    EDIT:
    I'm using a Samsung A30 if it's relevant

use the sync feature that most browsers have these days. Firefox, Chrome, Edge all do. What you do on one will automatically appear on the others.

I'd be more than happy to do that, though that leads me back to the start (I think): where is the bookmark location for those browsers?
I'd like to create/edit the original file (that I can then sync if wanted) outside of the in browser editing interface.

tried looking in my phone with no success. googled, also no success. i'm guessing with the sync feature theyre not actually stored on the phone anymore? if that is the case, there might be an app that can grab them for you. if not, sync them to the desktop equivalents then grab the bookmarks file on your pc.

That did the trick thank you.

I exported the bookmarks file from Chrome on my desktop
Used notepad++ to mess around with it
    Re-imported it
Logged onto Chrome on my mobile
Synced and I got the bookmarks.

Very roundabout way to just get access to the file but it appears we don't have any other method.
