Some of the cosplayers at last weekend's Sydney's Animania 2012 which was held at the Australian Technology Park. It was a smaller event than the regular one so naturally there were less people.

awesome set man. Did you tell them how to pose or did they just natrually get into character themselves.

    what lens?

Yeah most of them did their own set of poses, there was just a handful who weren't sure. If it was a series I wasn't too familiar with I'd just ask for a generic portraiture pose however if it was a series I had watched I'd convey a few of my own ideas to them.

    Nikon 50mm f1.4G :p

I like the colours in these shots, nice set.

I saw the exact same Heavy Weapons Guy at Armageddon in Melbourne last year, good to see he's still going around haha.

No rude dragon woman with the mohawk representing ATP security this time. She got fired or something for terrible customer service.

Nice shots. #7 and #9 are the picks of the bunch for me. #7 looks like a character from a certain game I play ; )

Yeah, noticed quite a few familiar faces.

Rude dragon woman? Something I missed?

I can't help myself when it comes to team fortress 2 hehe.

All the shots are good, but I love #04 (displayed 12th on this page). Excellent DOF with the sword and a great composition overall.

#04 is a standout for me, I don't think the day would have been complete for me if I didn't get that shot in the end :p

Seems to be the crowd favourite hehe as well as my own.

Yeah, it's fun thought the bigger events are probably better.

Thanks! The costumes seem to get better every time I go. Would have liked to have taken a few more photos but the people I wanted to take were either busy or heading home. :<
