Looks like a cheap mans Warframe, tbh.
I want someone in a gaming convention to stand up and ask "Will it be like Destiny or The division"... as in will you fuck it up as badly as these guys...
Destiny now with Ironman.
The Division is nowhere near as bad as it was at launch. The devs turned it around completely imo
Will most likely skip this like I did with the division because I simply just can’t be bothered.
I'll be honest I bought D2 and TD when they were both cheap so I could experience their gorgeous worlds and play the promised SP content - now the worlds on show are drop dead gorgeous but the content is non existent D2 was so boring I didn't even finish it I played more Division and even played with some friends, but the gameplay loop is so mininal and repetitive I just cbf'd. I don't expect Anthem to be any different.
My advice to anyone who's interested in either, play them for a free weekend and then forget about 'em.
yeah unfortunately it tried it a couple of weeks ago... not many people on... not enough for me to keep playing it... its dead... maybe not broken but dead
Some more details or lack thereof of how the single player NPC interaction is going to work.
Could be the new titanfall 2 the way things are going. Bioware dont have a good track record for mmos.
Titanfall 2 is great though. IIRC just launched at a dumb time.
I should probably clarify that I meant anthem is looking to go the way of titanfall 2 multiplayer. Good game but people stopped playing afterwhile so the game went into the bargain basement bin.
Don't doubt that anthem might be a good game to play but seeing as it will probably be always online multiplayer game [given the way EA is pushing live services ... subscription or microtransactions ahoy!], I'm going to wait for beta. Still it's a pretty looking ironman simulator game.
to me it looks like a different version of Destiny
yeah it looks like Destiny to me as well. After trying out Destiny 2 on PC I couldn't be more blah over Anthem.
If it's anything like Destiny 2 it will be awesome. I'm afraid that it will have the looks but not the gameplay.
All style and no substance.
Game Awards Story Trailer:
Plus this weekend (8-9th December) is the Alpha test for the lucky ones who managed to score an invite. I dont know if there are restrictions on doing so, but will certainly be checking twitch to see if there are any live streams.
When destiny was first revealed I was so hyped to play it but I’m just not feeling it with Anthem.
Destiny is really limited by not rewarding you for exploring off the path it wants you to take with missions, the freedom in this might make that more interesting.
whereas i'm the opposite - but very wary because it remains to be seen if EA got the memo that gamers are sick of being treated like cash cows.
Anyone else get into the Alpha?
