    Hi,
I have a problem where i need users to be logged in as admin (not the built in windows administrator account) and not be able to install programs.
Is this possible? because under standard users a few of the programs i need to use keep asking for admin password to even run/update.

I've googled and hit a dead end

    Thanks.

Why do they need to login as admin to begin with?

I've decided to make standard user accounts and have put this command to only ever need the password to be put in once
If anyone knows a better way that'd be great too. Thanks.

    runas /user:** /savecred "C:\path\to\file.exe

also, sysinternals tools are your friend, can find out what explicit items are being denied, and you can set appropriate ACLs for whatever, file/reg key/etc. is stopping this crapware from running as a regular user.

    tried running in compatability modes?
