Anyone able to identify this? Mini dachshund.

    Hi guys

    Daily check on the puppy and found this. Wasn't there before. Unsure what it is and I'm a little worried.

    I'll take him to the vet within the next few days but if anyone can identify if it's anything serious that'll help lots.

    He's a miniature dachshund black tan short hair at 16 weeks old now.

    He's been scratching here and there lately but never seen him scratch in this spot where I've marked in the image.

    He's eating fine and playful as always. See image below.

    Man, if that turns out to be his belly button this thread needs to go to the fking pool room! :-D

    EDIT: my googling suggests that is where the belly button is on a sausage dog.

    Yep belly button..... if there is a lump under or near he could have an umbilical hernia which is usually easily fixed when they are desexed.
