When we're not home, we put the radio on for our dog. I think he sleeps most of the time but I know he gets bored. I'd like to get him a TV and have Dog TV (youtube channel) running for him. My husband thinks I'm mad and shakes his head at me when I talk about it.

So, I would love to know if anyone uses it and has had success with it. Our doggy does seem to like watching other dogs on TV.

My dog doesn't watch tv, she just sleeps. The only time she tunes in is if somebody meows or barks or squeaks or something on a show.

I would imagine softer music/sounds without strangers voices in it would be all you'd need to give the dogs some noise and sounds around them. In reality they're probably listening past it to make sure there's no one coming into their territory. At least that's what I reckon my dogs are doing.

My dogs seem to watch TV with us when we're watching, if something moves fast on screen they flick their ears up or move their head. When dogs bark onscreen they seem kind of confused about why they can hear a dog but the one on screen isn't really there for them, as in no smells etc?

I liked to think they enjoyed watching me play forza horizon because it was a simulated car ride but my wife says I'm nuts. She says that a lot though :p As for music they tend to leave the room when there's faster music playing but I think that's more that my wife turns it up loud. I play mexican music for my chihuahua sometimes but that's more for my entertainment.

My dog actually watches TV......only for a few minutes at a time.....short attention span :p.....but he loves it when other animals come on. When I'm away I either leave the tv on or a radio just for some background noise for him.
