    Hey all,

    History of the Anzac biscuit can be found [Here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anzac_biscuit)

    Nice simple one I like cooking from time to time and it can be done on a super tight budget as well.

    * 3/4 cup of sugar
    * 1 cup of oats
    * 1 cup of flour
    * 125 grams of butter
    * 1 TSP of Honey
    * 2 TSP of HOT water
    * 1 tea spoon of baking soda

    Total cost is roughly $10 AU even less if you have everything

    Everything you need

    Steep one, Mix the dry stuff together (Flour, oats, sugar)

    Steep two

    Mix the wet stuff together Butter and honey first, melt the butter and and honey to it. Then add hot water and backing soda to the mix

    Steep three
    Mix everything together

    Steep four

    Use tea spoons to get the mixture on the pans

    Mixture left over from the biscuits

    Final product (this batch didn't work out the best)

    It's funny... my wife was craving ANZAC biscuits the other night so I whipped up a batch...

    Mine differs from yours slightly, but I put in 2 tablespoons of Golden Syrup instead of honey and 1 cup of desiccated coconut, as well as using brown sugar :)

    Preheated the oven to 160C (non fan forced) and whacked them in there for about 6-7 minutes.

    Here is my effort (with baking paper just for you RETARD haha):

    ausghostdog, Its great to hear you are experimenting and trying new things.
    Like almost everything, the more you practice, the better you will become.
    God forbid you should look back at some of my first cooking pictures :lol:
    Just enjoy what you do and the rest doesn't even matter :thumbup:

    Thank you Pbx_Jnr - i can sleep tonight knowing the world is in order :)

    Just thought I'd add another recipe that produces slightly chewy biscuits if that's your thing (Like me). Already made a batch of these this morning with my Little Girl heaps of fun to make with the kids.

    120g butter (if using unsalted butter, add 1/8 teaspoon fine table salt)
    40ml (2 tablespoons) golden syrup
    92g (1 cup) rolled oats
    80g (1 cup) desiccated coconut
    150g (1 cup) plain flour
    112g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
    56g (1/4 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
    1 teaspoon (6g) bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
    40ml (2 tablespoons) boiling water

    Method Here
