Aldi Strathpine had about 5 of the Capcom ones there this morning $100 off. First time I've actually seen them.

Was better when games were 20c each, maybe 40c and $1 for 3 credits.

Oooh... did we need to know? ;)

If that PM was Tony Abbott then you'd best warn the recipient about the probable onion breath.

BTW, it's recently come to my attention that
    you sent a PM.

FINALLY in Adelaide found a SF2 one for $200 today :) just finished putting it together.
A little smaller than I thought it would be but seems like a solid unit, might build a stand to add a bit more height.

Being my first cab very keen to hack it up and get some extra games running on there :leet:

So apparently the paint on the control deck can rub off and free acrylic covers are provided but it looks like a US only thing http://arcade1upstore.com/

Anyone managed to claim one of these in Australia?

Also looking for the riser stand locally without much success. Going to fire them an email now about the stands and acrylic.

Ordered LVDS board from ebay ready to fit in a PC or Pi

I'll laminate the control deck if i ever put mine together, its not too difficult to do.

i did that for my big arcade unit when i refurbished the artwork.

sorry if it's already been mentioned, but how about control interface?

Re the paint - is some acrylic clear coat over the top out of the question?

Depending on how the buttons mount it should be fairly easy to make an acrylic panel to suit these.
I got a local guy to cut me a piece to size and polish the edges for $30 cash (full size cab larger than the 1ups)

you'd be a $15-20 step drill bit away from finishing it off.

    Wow - protecting the paint?

These aren't likely to be collector pieces, wearing the paint down through play is what makes them unique.

I'm thinking of chucking an ipac in there: https://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html

The pinouts on the ribbon cable are all documented here if you wanted to keep things neat https://www.reddit.com/r/Arcade1Up/comments/a02870/hack_original_board_not_just_replace_w_pietc/

Someone else on Reddit has swapped the whole panel out for sanwa LED buttons which looks pretty cool imo https://i.redd.it/92u4k5t6c5721.jpg

Thanks for that, I've emailed 1up in the US and the au distributor (Hunter Products), not expecting a reply anytime soon given the time of year.
