I skimmed across this last week and just downloaded the demo last night. Anyone tried the demo / bought the game? I'm interested in this since the days of operation flashpoint.

Info about servers and how well its running (bugs, problems, crap game etc) is helpful.

i waiting, to get it, it comes out in 2 weeks.
Its a awesome game, the demo dose not show how good this game will be, and how you can sorta do anything.
My Friend has a copy from overseas, and its very playable, but there is a few bugs.

    What sorta bugs?

There doesn't seem to be much interest in this game. I've been waiting for something decent and local hosted (in australia as a minimum).

    ho hum

No game destroying bugs, just one or 2 psychics bugs, some bugs in Performance, but i think they have been fixed.

My clan is getting ready, we are all getting the game on the release date, and some are getting new computers for it. Im sure it will be even more popular than OFP.

Yeah, I've been waiting for our version as well. Not having a PC up to running it until next week has helped, too.

Physics are allot better than OFP, but its nothing as obvious as Half life 2.
Choppers are harder, and will take practice.
The bugs in physics are due to the way its done i think, like blowing up a bridge with a car on it not moving, and the car floats in mid air.

Since it was written by a lot of the same people who did OFP1985, it's a bloody good game.

pity it inherited the insta-kill on sight issue... really annoys me.

/sigh nobody uses the search button anymore.

Anyway the game could be great but it's very buggy. Lots of performance issues as well as AI, physics and graphics bugs.

There are missions which you cannot finish sometimes due to the AI or a script failing to kick in. The AI is terrible,

    "All follow me"
    5 - "Where are you?"
"I'm standing in front of you!"
    5 - "Negative"
    4 - "Oh no! 5 is down"
    "4 Attack that BMP"
    4 - "Negative"
    2 - "Oh no! 4 is down"

Parts of the game feel very unfinished. One of the bases has objects floating just above the ground as well as sand bag walls sticking out of the floors inside houses. There is one mission where you start in a house with a friendly soldier standing in the hallway blocking the only door out. Sometimes he'd move out of the way, other times he'd block the only path out, forcing you to shoot him or restart till he moved. I can't count the number of times I've seen helicopters crash into trees, mountains, powerlines, buildings or other helicopters. In another mission I had to pick up some troops in a truck but they wouldn't get in. I had to board a Stryker and get driven about 100m out of the base and down a runway, the driver did a 40 point turn (zig zagging on the spot) crashed into a wall and then wedged the Stryker between the wall and a building. You have to work pretty hard to screw up a waypoint travel script.

Hopefully they can fix the problems cause it'd be a brilliant game once polished.

I'd be happy if it was as buggy as flashpoint was but it is a lot worse.

5 years of patching OFP proves that is a distant hope.

Yeah, but 5 years of patches actually made OFP a better game.

    :p

    EA is just pure blasphemy.

Armed Assault has potential, im just quietly hoping for the best :)

The english version runs much better than the earlier versions. It's version 1.4 or 1.04 whatever.
