I'm picking up my copy on Saturday, hope to have some good gaming with some of you guys. Alsol, does anyone know if Gamearena or Internode are putting up servers? If they are, that would be excellent and make the game more popular. :)

Can anyone with the full version say whether or not the full version is better than the demo?

Can anyone confirm this? If so, I'm there!

And yes, anthonyl, my mate has ArmA - The full version (bought german one) and it is much better than the demo, mission editor rules, and there are way more servers, units and maps to play. Trust me, if you even though the demo was slightly cool, the full version will blow your mind! :)

    First impressions!

Not good! Trying to map the controlls on the joystick is taking me ages and trust me as a veteran gamer I know how to map joystick controls.

Why Oh! why do game developers have to use such archaic methods of mapping joystick movements is beyond me!!

    On my system (E6600 / 8800GTX) at 1600 x 1200 the game runs at about 25-30 fps....NOT GOOD..its jerky!

Personally I liked OP Flash better..this just seems to be a cheaper dumbed down version. BUT I will persevere and see what ensues!

Apparently its better to run the game on higher textures then lower, I cant remember where I read that, but its been proven that running lower texture or lighting degrades performance more.

Has anyone figured out the joystick sensitivity yet? Im finding that when I roll just a slight bit over to the left or right the chopper does a barell roll and I end up eating dirt.

    I use a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO.

Quick question to those who have an Australian version - does it use Secure Rom or Starforce :thumbdn: ?
    Thanks

Which version of patch 1.05 are you guys using ?
I notice the game is published by 505 Games in Australia.
I installed the internationak version and now I'm wondering whether I should have installed the European/505Games patch.
Does it really make any difference ??
I note that the game is now patched to version 1.05 and that, after running the patch install, it said that patch was 100% installed. I also noticed that the patch install recognised the game as European Version, hence my thinking perhaps I have used the wrong patch.
Mind you, if that was the case either the game would be having issues or the patch would not install in the first place ??

    cheers

I had trouble with it double binding controls, had to set the rudder then reset something else. Couldn't get it perfect but got it good enough to fly properly.
