Patch 1.0.7 released! Awesome
Quite a big change too.
even on a new laptop it chugs at some points haha oh well can't win them all.
I dunno if it 1.0.7 or new Nvidia drivers but I am getting worse performance and struggling to get hdr working properly. Worked better before.
Edit: got hdr working just had to reboot after each change in settings. Performance still seems worse though.
i'm using the 2nd newest drivers.
With the new patch I got 9 extra abilities but I didn't get any level increases. Before I get to 70 I will have every ability fully unlocked lol
I killed the new boss Cyclops. He looked amazing and on hard he didn't give me much trouble, but it was a fun boss fight. Got a new epic bow out of it which was cool.
Ended up using adaptive quality now it's a solid 60fps on my 4k panel. But I think a lot of the time it's 1080p haha
On 4k with a mixture of settings was bout 45 to 60fps. So maybe it's dropping to 1440p as needed. Still looks good.
Haven't tried adaptive quality...maybe I should...on another note, just hit level 33...gosh it's gonna take a LOT more hours before level 70...haha
I was given Assassin's Creed Odyssey for Uplay but don't want it - normally I'd trade it away on reddit or somewhere, but it's region locked to Australia. Anybody interested? $30 USD
Been trying to get better FPS when running in 4K and so far I think it's doable but I think 1440p is best for FPS with a 1080Ti.
Here is a video I took on youtube when running in 2560x1440...I don't think it's possible even with changing the settings for 4K to match the FPS...?
Do adaptive quality set to 60fps. At least it remains at native Res and downsamples to 1440p as needed. Also turn clouds to low difference is not noticeable but a nice fps climb.
This video shows percentage gains and visuals between settings.
Edit: seems no real diff between low and medium on clouds actually.
Trying out the adaptive and so far is working great Thanks for that. I'll fiddle with the individual settings some more and see what else I can get to up the FPS a little
adaptive is the same trick to get to 4K as Origins. If you let it render to say 75-80% and upscale to 4K you'll get a softer image than native but the tradeoff is locked 60fps+
Thing is it dynamically changes so sometimes it's native 4k. I don't find it distracting though.
yeah the adaptive on Origins also did a decent job.
Honestly, what is the deal with food in Odyssey? Just another pointless item you can find I suppose, much like broken weapons, random pots etc.
I do find it hilarious though where you find some of the food. Just last night I was exploring a swamp area and found some "fresh cabbage" underwater. Mmmmmmmmm, Fresh Swamp Cabbage!
it's like finding a roast chicken in a rubbish bin, lol
Now at level 42 and just noticed you can stop running and walk if you hold CTRL
Finding them in the depths of a tomb that had obviously been sealed up for hundreds of years is also a giggle...
great Youtube movie - wouldn't watch it twice though
