ASUS Australia ROG OC Meetup (LN2 overclocking)

This weekend, 19th - 21st August 2011, ASUS Australia invited some of the top overclockers in Australia for an epic session of pushing hardware to the limit. We've rented a house in Adelaide, booked our plane tickets, ordered the Liquid Nitrogen and are beginning to prep our hardware. Rest assured, many warranties will be invalid



Several overclockers from Overclockers Australia are coming from all around Australia to attend this event, these guys are no strangers to Liquid Nitrogen;

FML!!!!!! Working this weekend. First bloody weekend I gotta work too. On top of that, my brothers birthday on Sunday. Otherwise I'd be asking if me and t8y could bring our ROG gear and join ya's

what hardwares up first, and what benchmarks are you guys aiming for?

given i have a lot of similar hardware ill be watching closely
just had another 2600k turn up today too, i will only be testing it out on water for now though (ln2 supplies over this way are thin). given the last few chips ive had it will probably be enough to max it out on water anyway..

 

looking forward to seeing some crazy results...should be good

to hot up their to LN2 i got off the plane at north QLD and almost lost my breath it was that hot and muggy!

Hey everyone, I'll be the one updating you guys during this event. Everyone's going to be busy playing with hardware & LN2

Everyone's here, booj, fester, pro, sniperoz

Currently, all we're doing tonight is prepping the hardware, and testing the 2500K/2600K CPUs to see what they can boot at. (I think Fester killed SniperOz' chip already!)

Here's how we prepare the MATRIX580:

What RAM are you guys using??? also is there any comp type thing between you guys??? I know it's all about the fun but why not make it interesting with a mini comp

 

Using Flares at the moment to test our CPUs, looks like SniperOz got a pretty nice one.

No internal competitions, just about having fun

 

if you guys get bored or end up killing all the intel cpus, i have a AMD phenom II x4 955 BE chip + Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3 board sitting on my shelf that id happily bring over for the LN2 *Slaughter!* err for "benching"

1. Uncle Fester + pro: Testing a MATRIX580 under LN2, seeing what it can do under cold. Making progress w/ 3DMark03





2. Booj + SniperOz nearly ready to rock and roll. 2600K + 580 DirectCU II.

 

It's interesting that your using Flares of all things. I thought those bad boys were optimized for AMD platforms. Love to see some memory results from them, GL Team and go break them records
