Well you are still limited to two cards, as it is just like a GTX 295...just ramped up.

Wonder if that will sli, would be pretty much unbeatable...

But yeah bit of a waste before dx11, not that anything will really support dx11 for awhile to come, and as we saw with dx10 cards, the initial offerings couldn't even run anything dx10

    Sorry, I was saying "awesome!"

Now that's an interesting setup, looks like they have literally done as suggested, taken two gtx285 pcb's, smacked em together with a bridge and gone "There ya go!"

Perhaps it is just a normal 295 but it's from a particularly good batch of silicon? Don't they just disable a gt200 core to make the variants anyway? Or is the bus width independent of the actual core....

The worst part? It probably won't be much better than the 295, the 448 vs 512 bus doesn't make that much of a difference when you have all the sp there in the first place, witness the ability of the 275 to come close to a 285 in benchmarks and performance. The clocks will help a lot but you can usually get reasonable overclocks even on the stock cards afaik. The vram will probably help those with 30" screens, but I doubt it would help much with the majority?

If I was stupid rich I'd buy one in a second though. The curse of tech addiction.

Considering the limited production of this card, they could of pre-installed a custom waterblock and not bother with air cooling.

I'd be ripping that stupid shroud off it at very least anyway! Poor card will cook in its juices

Honestly, imagine 2 of them in quad-sli? It'd be the equivalent of 4 GTX285s running in SLI. Absolutely CRAZY!

    WHEN ARE THESE COMING OUT?

Hmmm...i don't think nvidia are looking at releasing a dual GPU card unless they have to...saying that based on their previous single GPU offerings. But you never know what they get stuck with...
