I just realized default settings was OD level 3, this presented alot of ghosting.

I have switched down to level 2 but not tested it yet.

Also saturation was default of 50 but felt it was far too washed out. So I increased it to 60 and feel like it is much better.

Will check some more over werkend.

Wouldn't it be best to shut off everything that isn't basic brightness/gamma/colour etc and let the PC take care of things?

I am sitting probably about exactly just under 1m from the screen otherwise I feel it is too close.

I have seen other reviewers sit rite next to the screen asif it were a normal sized monitor. I can't do that without my vision feeling funny from everything so big on the screen

I had to re read that twice, kept processing as 1cm not 1m.

How goes the gaming? Fun? Any issues?

What would be the best distance using this monitor ? Not sure if my desk would be big enough for me to sit back enough ....

I think this would have to be a personal preference. I seen 2 reviewrs use this at normal desktop distance, where as that is too close for me so I sit about 0.5m from my desk and I feel that is perfect for me.

This is the rub for me.
For gaming I would rather 1440p @ 120fps with all the eye-candy turned on, rather than 4k @ < ~75fps? (with probably a lot of the good stuff off to try and increase the frames..)

no thanks... to many compromises and not interested in a TV size monitor... give me 32" 4k/144hz/HDR with HDMI 2.1!!!

It honestly is not that bad, the contrast and colour on this monitor is really good. And the black too

Look at the results in the video, how much better the SDR brightness, blacks and contrast ratio is compared to all the other panels.

It's very close to the levels of the $3500 FALD monitors.

The only downside I have with it so far, is the slow black transition. Smearing is definitely present. Otherwise it has very good image quality. Bright and vivid!

Thanks for the letting us know your impressions of the monitor, always good to hear user feedback. How well does the monitor fare in terms of input lag?

I think in the video they measured around 8ms input lag.

I agree for a gaming monitor that is average but certainly not slow. Huge improvement over my E6 Oled in that regard, so I am very happy.

    TFTCentral review up.

Overall a great monitor, actually mostly better performance than alot of other VA and IPS panels out there.

im using a 55" wasabi mango 4k monitor for the past few years

43" feels like a downgrade but compromise for 120hz

let me know when your selling this to upgrade to the XG43UQ Op. hope you kept the box lol
