Heya So i just got the Gigabyte GTX1080ti http://www.gigabyte.us/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TAORUS-11GD#kf And i've got an Asus VG278HE (and HTC Vive) https://www.asus.com/au/Monitors/VG278HE/ Now on the GB website it talks about VR mode and it's disabled when using DVI Does that mean i can't use DVI and one of the HDMI ports for the Vive? OR do i have to connect the screen via HDMI (in which case what Hz can i run it at?) basically: What's the best way to connect everything?
Hey Sledge, I'd probably recommend running the monitor through Display port if you can, otherwise double HDMI port should be good Currently the VR ready link etc comes out the front, but the cable for the vive should be long enough to go into the case/connect to a front port if you have one
Sorry just read the I/O The VR can't work through DVI-D, but the monitor can You can connect the monitor through DVI-D and Vive through HDMI, I've done the same with my BenQ monitor
Cheers so the same as before Just wasn't sure what the VR MODE is for if it's disabled when using DVI-D whether you then can't do VR or what... I don't even see the point of VR MODE... how is it optimised?
